Updating the bathroom with a Little Greene

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you will have seen that I recently decided to add a bit of colour to my bathroom. Although I have loved the monochrome loveliness of the scheme we chose, it felt time for a change and I really wanted to experiment with a colour in there to shake things up.

After lots of deliberation, I settled on Little Greene's Invisible Green, which is a really deep, sometimes a touch Khaki, green. I was nervous, especially when the paint started to go on, but I am thrilled with the result. We chose to just paint one wall, acting as a way to create a focal point in an otherwise all-white room. The mirror and vanity unit worked perfectly as a way to draw the eye somewhere, so that was the wall we chose and it works really well to add a 'pop' and glamour to the room without sacrificing the bright, light, Scandinavian interiors I love.

But take a look yourselves and let me know what you think...

The colour really bring out the bathroom details like the floor and the metro tiled wall

The colour looks amazing in natural light, but even better on an evening when the candles are lit - so moody and sensual - perfect for bath time!

I had some of the woodwork paint left over so I couldn't resist updating this little stool in the same colour. It looks perfect with this H&M Home pink tray and my Arket candle and of course Aesop's Poo Drops!

I have ordered a new pink hand towel (when I get a theme I run with it!) but actually the black and white hamman looks great

I've not used Little Greene before but I was really impressed - its so thick and easy to work with. Only needed two coats and the finish is remarkable, especially on the woodwork

Here is the bathroom before shot as a little reminder. How much more pulled together and finished does it look now? Total transformation!

So what do you think? It has made such a difference right? And all about a days work TOPS. Maybe its time your bathroom got a bit of an update? Do share them with me over on Instagram - I'd love to see.

Thank you to Little Greene who gifted the paint to me, but otherwise all styling and opinions are my own as always :-)
